Update: August 16th, the first pipe from the temporary bridge is removed, followed by the second and third pipe by the 28th. One lane on the new bridge remains open until the temporary bridge is removed. Note: Hurricane Henri halts progress as the area was flooded by Hurricane Henri and the new bridge was under water causing temporary closure.

Preliminary designs for the Fox Farm Road / 4th Street Bridge Replacement Project were unveiled in April, by Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI), Engineering and Construction Service for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Lackawanna County. The proposed work is slated to begin in 2020 or 2021.
